Sayed Hadeed Hassan, MPH

Hadeed is a PhD student at York University’s School of Global Health. He holds an MPH degree from the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health. His research interests lie at the intersection of community health, health system strengthening, and the social determinants of health. His PhD research examines the causes, persistence, and increasing prevalence of vaccine hesitancy in North-West Pakistan, with a focus on how people perceive and engage with healthcare and how micro, meso, and macro-level socioeconomic and political factors shape vaccination decision-making. He is also affiliated with the Centre for Global Child Health at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where he supports work on the Maternal, Infant, Nutrition and Growth (MiNG) Exemplar country case studies, examining how pre-pregnancy factors influence pregnancy, newborn, and child nutrition outcomes in Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Zimbabwe.
